Epics
This page will be dedicated to the epic quests I will undertake. I have only ever done a single 1.0 epic, which was for the beastlord, though I did complete an epic 1.5 and 2.0 for a warrior though. I bypassed the 1.0 with the workarounds in place when the new epic quests came out. It has been a few years now, so I do not remember much about everything that was required for them. I am going to focus on the shaman and shadowknight epics this time around.
Did a bit of research and I am attempting to put together a checklist for myself to maintain my position in the quests. From what I have read, the shaman epic has a massive shortcut, that basically entails grinding a faction turn in between BB and WFP, which includes killing a level 15 mob, hailing a spirit, and turning in a gem. Apparently if I do this about 15 times, I will max the faction I need for the epic turn in. Beyond that, I need to loot a drop after one of the golems in PoFear is killed, and kill a named in City of Mist. Really seems to be a 4 step process, though I know getting the tear will probably be toughest part of the quest. I will have to do some research on how many people will be needed for the CoM kill, but it doesn’t look like much. Maybe a couple groups. Seems pretty simple, assuming the workaround still is in effect.
As for the shadowknight epic… looks like a PITA. From what I have been seeing on the forums, the spawns for hails and turn ins for some of the quest steps are very contested and have long respawn timers. Will see if I can get this done in a timely manner or not!
SHAMAN
[X] Grind faction by killing Peg Leg in BB, hailing spirit, doing turn in to Bondl Felligan in WFP near sewer entrance. Repeat until max ally with True Spirit

**** I have decided for now I am not going to pursue the SK epic. At this point the weapon would be bagged immediately, and not used at all. Perhaps down the road when we near OOW, I will attempt to get this done to ease into the 1.5 quest, but I honestly doubt it. The amount of crap I need to get and camp is just not really something I want to pursue now that I am working on AA and such. Regardless, I will leave the checklist here for future reference. ****
